【Qimen Black Tea  Legend of Strong Fragrance】

Qimen black tea, one of the world’s three most fragrant black teas, was born in Qimen, Anhui in 1875.Its unique “Qimenxiang” is known as the ”hero of tea” and has conquered European royalty and become the favorite of Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom.
At the end of the 19th century, Qimen black tea traveled across the ocean and became the first choice for afternoon tea in European high society.Because the fragrance is as fragrant as a blend of rose and honey, Westerners call it “Red Tea” (the nobleman in black tea).In traditional craftsmanship, tea farmers need to pick one bud and two leaves before and after the Qingming Dynasty, and then wither, knead, ferment, and bake over charcoal to make this amber and translucent tea soup.

【The Way of Tasting】

Tea making tutorial (simple 5-step method)
① Warm cup
Heat tea utensils (porcelain pots or lidded bowls) with boiling water to enhance the release of tea aroma.
② Tea pouring
Take 3g of tea (about 1/6 of a small can), with a tea to water ratio of 1:50 (150ml of water).
③ Brewing tea
At a water temperature of 90 ℃ (let it stand for 2 minutes after boiling), soak for 5 seconds to release the soup, and then gradually add 3-5 seconds each time.
④ Tasting
Observing its bright red color, smelling the fragrance of honey and orchid, and savoring its mellow and sweet aftertaste.
⑤ Continued Tea
Soak 5-7 times, with a gradual change in flavor from floral to sweet.

Tip: Pair with Australian honey or scones to experience a fusion of Chinese and Western afternoon tea time.
